Household Chemical Collection

9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Behind the Pinellas County Government Center, 29582 U.S. 19 N., Clearwater. Customers must stay in their vehicle. Items must be placed in the trunk, truck bed or trailer to allow staff safe access. Government-issued ID will be required and scanned to verify residency. This service is provided by Pinellas County Solid Waste Household Hazardous Waste program.

Christmas in July Craft and Gift Show

9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St., Seminole. Spend a fun day shopping with local vendors at the event presented by the GFWC Pinellas Seminole Woman’s Club. Free parking and admittance.

Summer Splash at DK Farms and Gardens

Bird Show

24th Annual Children's Health and Safety Fair

Shadow puppetry workshop

9 a.m.-noon July 31-Aug. 2. Suncoast Community Church, 12855 110th Ave., Largo. Learn the Chinese art of shadow puppetry. Bobby and Ying Phillips, from Douliu City, Taiwan, are the teachers for this three-day class. Participants will design puppets, help create a puppet script, and put on a show for family and friends. The class is geared toward ages 8 through adult. Fin Fest: A Buffet Celebration featuring Bluffett and “Jaws”

6-10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. The BayCare Sound at Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater. This free family-friendly event will be paradise for all Jimmy Buffett fans. In addition to a performance by Jimmy Buffett tribute band Bluffett and screening of “Jaws,” there will be games, food trucks, specialty co*cktails and refreshments, plus an assortment of prizes to win. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best Parrot Head attire or their favorite “Jaws” character.

Back to School Open House & Expo

6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, MLK Jr. Recreation Center, 550 Laura Lane, Dunedin. Bring the whole family to get prepared for the school year. Visit with local exhibitors providing information about before and after school activities, health and wellness, safety and more. Kids will enjoy hands-on activities, face painting, and games. The first 200 school-age children will receive a free backpack and school supplies. Presented by Dunedin Parks & Recreation.

Sunset Beach Concert Series

7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. Sunset Beach, Tarpon Springs. The Sunset Beach Concert Series, presented by the city of Tarpon Springs and AdventHealth North Pinellas, features shows on the first Thursday of the month through November. In the event of inclement weather and the concert is canceled before the start time, the concert will be held the following Thursday. Concessions are available for purchase. Alcohol and pets are prohibited. Parking is limited onsite, so a free courtesy shuttle will deliver concertgoers to and from the beach and Tarpon Springs High School.

Asian Street and Music Festival
