What are Legendary Weapons
Legendary weapons are some of the best weapons in Dead Island 2, elevating your zombie-slaying prowess to unparalleled heights. These extraordinary weapons have impressive perks that give you a huge advantage in battle. Additionally, each legendary weapon comes with one mod slot and four perk slots allowing for extensive customization tailored to your preferred playstyle.
It's important to note that some of these slots come pre-equipped with fixed mods or perks that you won't be able to remove from the weapon. However, those mods and perks are so handy that you will want to keep them.
How to Get Legendary Weapons
Sadly, you likely won't come across Legendary weapons until very late in the main storyline, so these weapons are more of an end-game thing than anything else. However, eviscerating zombies with these weapons is so satisfying that the wait will be worth it.
Below is a complete list of all Legendary Weapons in the game and what you need to do to find them. If you want to learn more about weapons in Dead Island 2, make sure to check out our Weapon's Guide.
Emma's Wrath

Blunt | Bulldozer |

This weapon has the best of both worlds, the devastating force of a sledgehammer mixed in with the mighty blast of a shotgun. Hey, after all, this weapon is Sam B's pride and joy.
Emma's Wrath is likely the first legendary weapon you'll get your hands on, and to find it, all you need to do is reach the end of Dead Island 2 15-hours-long main storyline. We won't spoil how the game ends, but if you want to know more about the last mission in the game, go check out our walkthrough for "Hollywood Ending."
After finding Emma's Wrath, you should use it for tense situations like dealing with apex Variants or getting out of an area with multiple enemies.

Big Shot is the perfect weapon for any player who wants to do the maximum damage, doing very little. Not only does this weapon has a fixed weapon mod that boosts physical damage and force, but every bullet you shoot will explode on contact.
To get this legendary weapon, you must complete a side quest named "It's Not Your Fault." To get this quest head over to Emma's Mansion in Bel Air and talk to Luciana. Remember that you can only unlock this side quest after completing the game's main storyline.
Once you have Big Shot, use it to deliver high-damage attacks on any zombie that crosses your path, especially if it is traumatized or vulnerable.

If you want a weapon that was so good a secret agent used to use it, then Blood Rage is the one for you!
You'll need to kill a crusher named Dante that spawns in the Lifeguard HQ in the Santa Monica Pier to get this beautiful dagger. Once you've defeated Dante, you'll trigger a Lost & Found quest named Fool's Gold. Complete the quest to get Blood Rage as a reward.
This dagger is perfect for those who like getting up and close when slaying zombies. This weapon makes delivering quick and precise attacks to a zombie's head easier.

If you want to feel like the hero from any epic fantasy movie, then The One is the only weapon you'll need.
You'll find this Legendary sword by completing a side quest in Hollywood Boulevard called "Beacon of Hope." To unlock this side quest, you'll first need to complete the main story quest, "Hollywood Ending," and another side quest, called "The Terror of Sound Stage 7." After completing said quests, head to the re-aging clinic in Hollywood Boulevard and talk to Sebastian.
Once you get this sword, use it to sever limbs from zombies' bodies and increase your stamina!

If you want to use a weapon that looks straight out of a Mad Max scene, then the Brutalizer is the Legendary weapon you should seek to acquire.
This machete is so tough that its splinters have splinters! To find it, all you have to do is head to Beverly Hills and talk to Francesca, who will task you with retrieving ten zombie parts as part of a sidequest called "Body Art: The Visionary."
Remember that to unlock "Body Art: The Visionary," you'll need to complete the story quest "The Giant Slayer" and a side quest called "The Ballad of Rikky Rex."
Once you have the Brutalizer on your hands, have fun maiming zombies' limbs to cripple them and reduce their attacks.

To unlock Bodycount, complete a Lost and Found quest Called [Redacted]. To start that quest, head to the military compound in Venice Beach and find a zombie named Lt. Ford. Kill it to get a journal entry that'll start this quest.
Once you find Bodycount, use it to kill hit zombies in quick succession, the good news is that the more consecutive hits you get, the more likely it is for you to have a brief period where all shots you make are critical.

Once you get this axe, use it to ignite zombies, followed by heavy attacks to deal additional damage.

Go to the ground floor's southeast corner (the one next to the staircase) and enter the door with a golden "1" on it. You'll be in a restroom; pick up the journal that's inside to start this quest.
After completing the Lost & Found quest and getting Party Starter, use it to deliver successful attacks in rapid succession until you unlock a period of time where all the hits you make are critical.
